The 74th Love Letter by

One Page Love

Do you believe in luck?

The word has always felt a bit overused, but just weeks after booking flights for Webflow Conf NYC this September… Seth Godin was announced as the Keynote speaker!

His daily blog has been a fixture in my life for over 15 years (many posts have been shared in this very newsletter), and seeing him speak has long been a dream. I have been grinning for 2 days straight now.

Rob Hope Cheers,
Rob

Holo Shader, now in Framer!

Introducing a brand new addition to our Shader library: Holo. A gradient shader that simulates how light splits into rainbows on holographic surfaces. Instead of colors, you control the math that shapes the colors, and the way the shader warps and flows. Holo is now available in the Insert Panel, under Shaders.

Website marquees just won’t die
Since I started reviewing One Pagers in 2008, Scrolling Marquees have been one of those design trends that keeps circling back.   The <marquee> HTML tag was discontinued in 2014, but I still see them used in so many creative ways. It’s not exactly skeuomorphic, but it borrows from those old-school LED tickers. But unlike dry stock or news headlines, marquees create **delight** — pulling you in with playful type that promotes specials or key features. Trend video Watch this visual trend breakdown on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube. Noteworthy Marquee examples: Let’s check a few out: Eight Pixel Eight Pixel pose a few questions: Floxies Floxies highlight their community experience: Peek Insights pair colorful icons with benefits: FlowFest promotes their event sponsors: And OnePageFlip run two marquees in opposite directions — because who makes the rules, anyway? If you want to play with one, Off+Brand just dropped a free Webflow + GSAP template — where the marquee wraps the site like a ribbon. Super fun stuff. So — what do you think? Marquees: a waste of space of a delightful opportunity? ps. here are a dozen more One Pagers featuring Scrolling Marquees I've curated.
