Project Rahma

Jordan-based web designer Jafar Irshaidat created this One Pager he titles ‘Project Rahma’ to raise awareness to animal cruelty. The text feels a bit bold but I can appreciate this effort for something he is clearly passionate about.

Project Rahma was conceived to raise awareness on the far-reaching repercussions of humanityโ€™s enslavement of animals for food and other uses. By demonstrating the fundamental connection between our attitudes toward animals and our larger cultural predicaments, the project hopes to help communities worldwide evolve toward a more compassionate, healthful and sustainable lifestyle. Given the lack of funding, I chose to build the website myself despite my limited experience in web design. The website was my first attempt at a parallax scrolling site, utilizing skrollr.js as well as some custom JavaScript and CSS3 transitions.
