One Page Website Review

So Below

Super long scrolling One Pager depicting a comic called 'So Below' by political cartoonist Sam Wallman. The beautifully illustrated story brings awareness to land ownership with commentary on several other political topics. Nice touch with the progress bar indicating how far you are in the story ie. the length of the long scrolling site. I just love seeing this move to a Single Page website on it's own dedicated domain. Long-Form Journalism was derived from the increase in content consumption on mobile, I'd bank on comics organically going this way too.
‘So Below’ is a graphic essay by cartoonist and journalist Sam Wallman. Exploring the idea of land ownership, Wallmam melds the political with the poetic, connecting both historic and contemporary manifestations of territorialism and dominion. Wallman’s idiosyncratic artwork critiques the notions of private property, land as commodity, national borders, exclusion zones, and the everyday resistance to these ideas from Indigenous people, refugees, the homeless, grassroots communities, animals and plants.
