The Queue is a research-driven visual essay examining the history, social rules, psychology, and mathematics of waiting in line. This is a fantastic data visualization! An understated editorial design that combines oversized serif headings, a warm off-white palette, narrow reading columns, numbered chapters, statistics, and recurring monochrome illustrations of people queuing. We spotlighted this site in Love Letter #93.
